Since I don’t know how many of you guys have seen this RZA ad yet: Beautiful ad and great message- make it your mantra for today:
“It’s extraordinary how a person can create- how that person’s mind, talent and ideas translate into melodies, lyrics, beats and soul that enable people to feel and experience life and life’s events differently”.
“This understanding extends to all” (Ghost Dog).
During every big fashion fair there are endless events and parties. Florence, being one of the most beautiful cities in Italy offers great locations, especially outdoors in summer.
Similar to Rome, where you feel like the whole city is an open museum, also here you find monumental buildings, palazzos and arches.
This historical location right around the corner from the big cathedral, La Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, literally right in the city center, surrounded by buildings holding apartments, the Scotch and Soda Party was going until late in the night, music BLASTING. Obviously Matteo Renzi is going for a more relaxed policy than Michael Bloomberg…
A little glimpse of how labels represent themselves at the vast location of the Pitti which takes place in an ancient fortress
The Pitti is the starter fair for the new season in Europe-meaning, that they show the summer collections 2013 for the store owners to order.
Apart from peeking the new collections of established labels, there are new great labels with very interesting innovations in fabrics and workmanship, lots of Italian, Japanese, British and American companies:
Italy and its unique flavor starts right after the Austrian border, coming from Germany by car.
What pops into my mind is great weather, beautiful landscape and of course, deeelicious food and the best coffee.Plus cigarette. Sometimes. Like “Coffee and Cigarettes” by Jim Jarmusch:
“Released in June 2012, Mic Check 1234! is a remix album consisting of rap and punk music. Great rap and great punk both make you want to affect change, to rebel against the status quo, or to simply just get up and move. This project pairs my favorite emcees’ most socio-political material with some of the best punk bands ever.” -Max Tannone
