STYLES D’S TRAVEL DIARY: THE COFFEE ISSUE
Day 16 of the 3 week business trip in Asia. Still South China.
It’s weird but true: Going to Starbucks becomes an event if you don’t have access to it on a regular basis. The craving becomes bigger. Starbucks becomes the highlight of the day. It smells so familiar. And the sweet creamy taste of a latte with that strong coffee flavour after days of coffee-flavored replacement beverages of a somehow transparent color, like black tea, can be indescribable.

STYLES D’S TRAVEL DIARY: THE SPEED TRAIN ISSUE
Day 9 of a 3 week business trip: Still China
Plane-car-plane-car-plane-train!
We decided to take the speed train from Nanjing to Ningbo.
Hugest, highest, vastest station concourse I’ve ever seen. Takes ages until you get to your track.
When we finally reach the track we insert our tickets at the turnstile. It shows: REFUSED-red flash light.
Damn, we’re late! I’m devastated. This fucks up my whole schedule!
From upstairs I can peep the train still waiting on the track. There’s a conductor next to the turnstile passageway. I try to talk to her. She looks at me angrily and says: “You’re too late”
STYLES D’S TRAVEL DIARY: CHINESE CHILLING
Day 7 of my 3 week business trip: China.
Now in China as well as in India and Bangladesh guys tend to put themselves in this certain position chilling on the streets…
STYLES D’S TRAVEL DIARY: THE BEAUTY OF A TRAFFIC JAM
Day 4 of a 3 week business trip: Dhaka/ Bangladesh
It takes for fucking ever to get from A to B during the day here. Funny thing is, that you get used to that real quick. After days of sitting in traffic for at least 1 hour one way you are surprised when the roads are clear-and indecisive what to do with the time gap to the next appointment…
